"No Elevators Day" will take place for the first time at the headquarters of ÎCS Premier Energy SRL (Premier Energz Moldova), which is the largest supplier of electricity in the Republic of Moldova. The company serves more than 947 thousand places of consumption in the center and south of the country. Previously, the call to use the stairs instead of the elevator, without stopping it, was just another recommendation in the list of those promoted during the internal event "Workplace Safety and Health Week", organized annually on the eve of April 28, when World Day for Safety and Health at Work is marked. The "No Elevators Day" will take place for the first time as a plenary activity on April 24 and from 2024 it is included as such in the plan of activities carried out during the safety and health week at work. The company has at its headquarters in Chisinau two elevators with a circuit between 9 floors, which on April 24th will be stopped, and explanatory and promotional messages will be placed for employees, to motivate them to diversify their routine by introducing movement, choosing to #UseTheStairs instead of using the elevator. 98 employees work at the Chisinau headquarters of ÎCS Premier Energy SRL, but the elevators are also used by more than 300 employees from the Chisinau distribution sector of ÎCS Premier Energy Distribution SA *(Premier Energy Moldova), which partially shares administrative spaces with ÎCS Premier Energy SRL. Assuming social responsibility commitments, ÎCS "Premier Energy" SRL promotes its own initiatives and social policies regarding the responsible consumption of electricity to contribute to ameliorating the global problem of CO2 emissions and preventing the collateral effects of excess electricity production on the environment.
